Volkswagen Group Africa sets new monthly production record

Volkswagen has opened pre-orders for the second-generation T-Roc, ahead of its official launch in September 2026. The compact SUV arrives with updated styling, improved interior quality and advanced technology, strengthening Volkswagen’s T-SUV line-up.
What is it?
The T-Roc is positioned between the Taigo and Tiguan, slotting into Volkswagen’s expanding SUV family alongside the T-Cross, Tayron and Touareg. This second-generation model represents a full redesign rather than a minor facelift, aimed at raising standards in the compact SUV segment.
Exterior:
The new T-Roc adopts a more athletic stance with elongated proportions and sculptured surfaces. A distinctive silver styling line runs from the A-pillar to the D-pillar, while ‘muscular rear shoulders’ add presence. Standard LED headlights and rear lamps give a modern look, with higher trims offering IQ. LIGHT Matrix headlights and illuminated strips across the front and rear.
Interior:
Inside, Volkswagen has introduced a redesigned dashboard with soft-touch materials and a driver-focused layout. A 10.3-inch infotainment system is standard, supported by wireless App-Connect and the latest Digital Cockpit. A multifunction leather steering wheel with shift paddles adds to the connected feel. Practicality remains strong, with seating for five and a 475-litre luggage compartment.
Powertrain:
The T-Roc is offered with a 1.4 TSI engine producing 110kW and 250Nm of torque. Power is delivered through an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission.
Price and warranty:
Pricing will be confirmed closer to the launch date in September 2026. Warranty details are expected to follow Volkswagen’s standard coverage.
